New Korean Womens Home Adj to Fed Way Transit Center
The Sound Transit picture of the week (January 29-Feb 4)
The Korean Women’s Association Senior City building, which is adjacent to Sound Transit’s Federal Way Transit Center, is scheduled for completion in March 2010. The Korean Women’s Association obtained the transit-oriented development site from Sound Transit in 2007. The Senior City building includes 61 low-income residential rental units and is Sound Transit’s first residential transit-oriented development project.
As part of planning for it’s downtown City Center and in anticipation of transit investments, the City of Federal Way has created an opportunities map to encourage TOD. Residents of the Korean Women’s Association Facility for seniors can enjoy safe convenient access to transit destinations.
